Who is responsible
Landeni is responsible for the processing described in this notice. The operator’s complete statutory identity and postal address are listed in the Impressum.
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected].
Data we may process
- Account details such as name, email address, authentication information and language settings.
- Learning data such as selected topics, answers, vocabulary, proficiency, progress and feedback.
- Audio you submit for transcription. Landeni does not retain the raw recording after transcription; the resulting transcript may be saved with your answer.
- Community posts, replies and moderation records if you participate in community features.
- Support messages and technical data needed to diagnose a problem you report.
- A device push token and platform when you enable notifications.
- Basic device, security and request logs, including IP address, browser type and timestamps.
How we use it
We process data to:
- provide and personalise language practice;
- evaluate answers and return useful feedback;
- save progress and synchronise it across devices;
- operate, secure and troubleshoot the service;
- moderate community spaces and prevent abuse;
- respond to support and legal requests.
Legal bases
Depending on the activity, processing is necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with law, or pursue legitimate interests such as service security and improvement. Where the law requires consent, such as optional analytics or device permissions, you can withdraw it at any time.
AI-assisted feedback
Landeni uses automated systems to analyse language input and generate feedback. These results support learning; they are not used to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you. Avoid including sensitive personal information in practice answers.
Service providers and transfers
The current service uses OpenAI for speech transcription and Anthropic for parts of language generation and moderation. We may also use vetted providers for hosting, authentication, email, support and app delivery. Providers may process data only for the agreed service and under applicable data-protection terms. If data is transferred outside the EEA, an approved transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards are used where required.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose described, for an active account, or for legal retention and dispute periods. Deleting an account does not always remove records immediately when security, accounting or legal obligations require retention.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children and changes
Landeni is not directed to children below the minimum age required to consent to digital services in their country. We may update this notice when the product or law changes. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way.
